Magazine Interns

Canada Wide offers eight-week, full-time editorial internships year-round involving a number of its 48 publications, including the travel magazine Westworld, BCBusiness, GardenWise, 99 North and BC Home magazines.

This is a great way to make contacts while obtaining a well-rounded, hands-on experience in magazine production. The program is adapted according to an applicant’s strengths and involves:

• writing
• editing
• proofing
• fact-checking
• production editing
• interviewing
• research

Upon completion of the program, interns will have an excellent sense of magazine publishing and whether this is the career for them, as well as their preferred area of specialty within the industry.
